Unserhaus, visual identity, Central Saint Martins, 2019
As part of OurHaus, a University of the Arts London festival marking the centenary of the Bauhaus, Lucy Alexander and Timothy Meara created a structure named “Unserhaus” (our house), a 1:1 architectural facsimile of one of the twenty-six bedrooms at the Walter Gropius designed Prellerhaus, where Bauhaus staff and students lived. The space, installed in the entrance of Central Saint Martins, was the setting for workshops and opened that process up to public view.
Studio Bergini were commissioned to design the signage and poster for the event. We drew custom lettering inspired by Herbert Bayer’s typographic work, which we used on both. The poster was screen printed at Central Saint Martins.
