Britain, Take A Bow is a generative artwork that sequences vignettes of British life, captured by a collaboration of filmmakers and artists across the UK, as we hurtle towards Brexit... Each ‘play’ is a unique experience – no two viewings will ever be the same.”
For this Brexit-themed video piece commissioned by Graeme Crowley, we turned the quintessentially British Clarendon typeface in on itself, creating a disfigured, monstrous, barely recognisable version of it for use as “subtitles” or karaoke lyrics to various versions of “God Save the Queen”, set atop a mix of video footage showing modern British life.
