Nuart Festival 15 Years, publication, 2015
Nuart Festival was the world’s first street art festival when it started in 2001 in Stavanger; a small city on the south-west coast of Norway. 2015 marked its 15th anniversary, with this newspaper produced as a commemoration, containing the festival programme and artist profiles as well as well as academic essays exploring how Graffiti and Street Art have been affected by increasing commercial and academic interest in these movements over the years.
We walked around the city documenting old, crumbling pieces still left over from the early years of the festival by the likes of David Choe, Blek Le Rat, and Pøbel, scattering the photos around the publication as a memento. The printing was done on the local newspaper’s own press.
